Faces of Ryan White
The 2009 Quality of Care Award for Quality Management Infrastructure Development went to the Municipality of San Juan’s Part A Program. Their Quality Improvement Committee has developed a comprehensive annual evaluation, modeled after available annual organizational assessment tools, which includes an assessment of their infrastructure, membership, meetings, minutes, barriers, achievements, resources and their work plan. Under the leadership of Dr. La Cruz-Rodriguez, a comprehensive quality management plan was developed, which led to implementation of an array of quality improvement activities, from the creation of quality committees to the development of indicator definitions, sampling methodology, data collection techniques, quality improvement strategies, and quality improvement trainings.
