TELECONFERENCES
Calls to Assess Training Needs on Recruitment/Retention in Care

Two teleconferences are scheduled for early December to get feedback from programs in Public Health Service Regions II and VI on their training needs related to recruiting and retaining in care people living with HIV/AIDS. The stakeholder calls are part of the HRSA/HAB-funded project Recruitment and Retention into Care, being carried out under a cooperative agreement with the National Minority AIDS Council. Training topics for discussion include the following: recruitment and retention for the hard-to-reach/high risk, multiply diagnosed, and rural populations; social marketing; client centered approaches through motivational interviewing; community partnerships; and community mapping.

Stakeholder Call 1 is December 1 - 2:00 p.m. (ET) for Public Health Service Region II
(New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands).

Stakeholder Call 2 is December 2, 2-3 pm (ET) for Public Health Service Region VI
(Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma).

Both calls are limited to entities located in the region.
