HRSA and its HIV/AIDS Bureau have developed a number of resources to address HIV/AIDS among Caribbean American populations. Activities have been carried out under the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program and the HRSA Global HIV/AIDS Program. Highlights include:
- Models of care for Caribbean populations living with HIV/AIDS are featured in Targeted Peer Support Model Development and Evaluation for Caribbeans Living with HIV/AIDS (CHIVES): Case Studies. This resource presents Ryan White SPNS research and demonstration projects.
- The HIV/AIDS Twinning Center strengthens the human and organizational capacity necessary to scale up and expand HIV/AIDS prevention, care, treatment, and support services in the focus countries of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, PEPFAR.
- Cost Analysis of the Caribbean Peer Promoter Initiative: The Impact of Budget Allocation Strategies on Program Participation and Retention seeks to improve the understanding of program operations and funding strategies used by grantees with positive program outcomes.
- I-TECH provides technical resources for nations in Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean dealing with health system strengthening; health workforce development; operations research and evaluation; and prevention, care, and treatment of infectious diseases.
- The Northeast/Caribbean AETC delivers clinical training in HIV/AIDS care to this region.
