Integrating Buprenorphine Therapy Into HIV Primary Care Settings
This report highlights projects found to offer highly effective (and replicable) approaches to integrating buprenorphine-based medication-assisted treatment into HIV/AIDS primary care. Engaging Historically Black Colleges and Universities in HIV Prevention
Research shows that African American students live with HIV more commonly than their primarily Caucasian counterparts. Historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) educate millions of learners, positioning these entities to enact greater strategies to counter HIV acquisition and spread. This workshop describes an innovative partnership to address such factors at HBCUs.

This session will discuss how to reduce the percentage of HIV patients who are out of care. Participants will learn to use a multi-disciplinary team approach to identify patients who are truly out of care, pinpoint the most effective approach toward contacting patients to be brought back into HIV care, and maintain the patient’s HIV care.
